Bio

Monica Ramsey got her BFA in 2D animation at The Academy of Art.

She had taken a college program during high school called Silicon Valley Career Technical Education or SVCTE for a short period. During that time, she studied the basics of 2D animation on the program Adobe Animate. Since then, her studies at the Academy of Art have taught her the ins and outs of After Effects and how to make 2D puppets in Adobe Animate and ToonBoom.

She has gotten a job as the illustrator for a skincare company, learning firsthand how to illustrate for social media using Procreate and Adobe Fresco on the iPad.

She has also worked in The Academy of Art's StudioX on a number of projects. In one, Dragons of Malgor, she had created animated 2D puppets in Adobe Animate. On the second project, Ribbon, she cleaned up an animation, animated the shadows and clouds, added pre-animated characters to the scene and learned how to composite in Adobe After Effects.
